After a successful debut, Kron Gracie plans to fight at UFC 237 in Curitiba

In his Ultimate debut, kron gracie finished Alex Caceres with a rear naked choke at 2:06 of the first round at UFC Phoenix, Sunday (17). With the triumph, the Brazilian ended the Gracie family's 25-year fast without winning in the organization. After the fight on the main card, Rickson's son planned his return to the octagon.

In an interview with the Combate channel website, Kron revealed that he wants to have his second fight in the first half of 2019. The black belt plans a confrontation in UFC 237, in Curitiba, on May 11th, at Arena da Baixada.

“It’s in May, right? I think it would be good. It would be three months. I can fight in May, for sure. I fought in the USA, Japan, now Brazil. The whole world”, said the black belt.

On the eve of the event, the Brazilian revealed that he expected a better fighter than Alex Caceres to face him in his debut. However, after defeating 'Bruce Leeroy', Kron stated that he does not have an opponent in mind for the next fight.

“I need to see who is doing well in the category. I didn't focus on other guys in this camp. Now that the fight is over, I can think about my opponent”, said the featherweight.

A year's preparation for his UFC debut earned Kron a fast track victory and UFC Phenix 'Performance of the Night' bonus. Excited, Rickson's son said it was the best debut possible.

“I always hope that it could be much worse, but it was the best possible. I want to fight soon and kick ass. I do not know what happened. I know I turned my back and said, 'He's not going to come out again,'” concluded Kron.

With the victory, Rickson Gracie's son maintains his unbeaten record after five fights in professional MMA. Kron hasn't fought in mixed martial arts since December 2016 at Rizzin 4, when he submitted Tatsuya Kawajiri in the second round.
