Livinha Souza beat Sarah Frota by split decision on the main card of UFC Fortaleza, last Saturday (02). Shortly after the victory, in conversation with journalists, the former Invicta FC strawweight champion revealed her desire to face Mackenzie dern, but imposed a condition for the fight to take place.

“Now I’m focusing on getting better… and continuing to improve my skills. In my next fight, I promise I will be better and do better. As for the duel with Mackenzie (Dern), two Jiu-Jitsu fighters? If Mackenzie makes weight, it could happen”, said Livinha.
‘Brazilian Gangster’ had the same problem at UFC Fortaleza when Sarah was 3,2kg over the weight limit for the strawweight category. Despite this, Livinha assured that even with her rival well above 52,6kg, she could not miss the chance to participate in the main card of the event full of big Brazilian MMA stars.
“It was a difficult fight, a tough fight. At times, I felt that Sarah had much more weight than me and was too heavy for me to be able to apply my best positions (in the Jiu-Jitsu game). But I said (Friday) I came here to work. It didn't matter what her weight was. I liked that she apologized to me. But that's life, risks and success, and I still had to think about it, is this my first time on the main card with big Brazilian MMA stars? I can't miss this chance. I came here to work, anytime, anywhere”, concluded Souza.
Livinha debuted in the organization in UFC Sao Paulo in September 2018, when he beat Alex Chambers by submission. At 27 years old, the Brazilian has only lost one defeat in 14 fights in her career. Angela Hill via split decision at Invicta FC 17 in May 2016.
