UFC President says Usman will fight for belt with or without Woodley

The 'Nigerian Nightmare' signed a contract with Ultimate to fight for the welterweight belt at UFC 235, however the 'Chose One' is not guaranteed in the duel

The future of the Ultimate welterweight belt remains undefined after many rumors. On Wednesday (26), in an interview with the North American program MMA Junkie Radio, the businessman of Kamaru Usman, Ali Abdelaziz stated that his athlete signed a contract for a title fight on March 2, at UFC 235. However, the division champion Tyron woodley It is not yet confirmed in the duel.

President Dana White stated that Usman will fight for the title regardless of his opponent. “The fight will happen, or it will be Usman against someone for the title”, revealed the franchise commander.

This isn't the first time White has disdained Tyron. Woodley has been UFC champion since 2016 and has already defended his belt four times. Even so, the organization's leader is running out of patience after so many difficulties in arranging a new fight for 'Chose One'.
