Upon his return to stand-up fighting competitions, Vitor miranda showed that experience can trump youth. With the support of the Joinville fans, the former UFC fighter landed a left cross that knocked out Elias Rodriguez 1min and 56sec into the second round. The duel between the heavyweights (up to 94kg) took place in the main fight of WGP 52 on Sunday (16) in Santa Catarina.

In the co-main event, Julie Werner won the interim women's lightweight belt after knocking out Andrea Salazar with a kick to the jaw 1min and 25sec into the fourth round.

Still on the main card, Bruno Cerutti took the Brazilian Kickboxing Confederation lightweight title by knocking out Leandro Silva with a round punch 1min and 35sec into the second round.
