Considered an underdog in the first phase of the Dream middleweight GP, Brazilian Andrews Nakahara, who faces the beast and one of the tournament favorites, Kazushi Sakuraba showed confidence for his first fight under MMA rules.
“I thought that at 84kg I was too light for K-1. So I started preparing for MMA and training Jiu-Jitsu. My teacher Francisco Filho has also been helping me for about six months. I feel honored and motivated to face Sakuraba. I am well prepared and confident that I can win. I'm going to knock him out with punches”, said the karateka during the weigh-in held today in Tokyo.
