With Nick Diaz suspended e Carlos Condit With no opponent to defend the interim UFC welterweight belt, two potential challengers will face each other to possibly define the next contender for the organization's title. President Dana White announced via Twitter that Josh koscheck e John hendricks will face each other at UFC on Fox 3, an event scheduled to take place on May 5th, in New Jersey, in the United States.
With a record of 17 wins and five losses, Koscheck, who participated in the first edition of The Ultimate Fighter, is looking for his second opportunity to challenge for the UFC belt, since in 2010, at UFC 124, he was defeated by Georges St Pierre. Josh is coming off two consecutive victories in the UFC, the last being over Mike Pierce at UFC 143, an event held this February.
In turn, Hendricks, who has a professional record of 12 victories and only one setback, is also enjoying a good phase in the organization. The North American has three consecutive victories in Ultimate, the last being a devastating knockout over Jon Fitch at UFC 141, an event held in December 2011.
