Henry Cejudo will put the flyweight title at stake against TJ Dillashaw at UFC 233, January 26th, in California (USA). In an interview with Ariel Ariel Helwani's MMA Show on ESPN's North American channel, the bantamweight champion revealed that he was hired by the organization to step down and eliminate the 57kg division.

“The UFC wants to get rid of the flyweight division. They hired me to go down, close the category and get another belt in the process. It’s a victory for me,” said Dillashaw.

If he beats Cejudo, Dillashaw will become the sixth men's champion to win two belts. He will join the select group with Randy Couture, B.J. Penn, Conor McGregor, Georges St-Pierre and Daniel Cormier.

The confrontation between Cejudo and Dillashaw should mark the end of the flyweight division in the UFC. Henry won the division title by defeating Demetrious Johnson via split decision at UFC 227 in August. TJ comes from four consecutive victories over cody garbrandt, John Lineker and Raphael Assunção.
