"The Dominick Cruz (current champion) must make one more defense of the belt at the beginning of the second half (against Urijah faber), so, Barão should still have one more fight, so as not to stay idle for too long, and then have his opportunity to fight for the belt”, stated Lourenço.
In turn, Barão, who still asked for a title fight in the octagon, this time was more measured and said that the decision on the title fight should come from the event.
“I'm doing my job and I put the decision of whether or not to fight for the belt in the hands of André Pederneiras (manager) and the UFC itself. In the meantime, I continue working to be prepared for the next fight, whoever it may be,” said the Brazilian, who arrived in the city of Natal, where he will rest with his family.
“I'm going to stay with my family, my son and my friends these days, while they don't decide when the next fight will be,” concluded Barão.
