Group that hacked UFC website steals Dana White's personal data

Last week, a group of hackers hacked the official UFC website, in a protest against the organization's possible support for SOPA, PIPA and ACTA anti-piracy policies. Dana White made light of it: “I'm in the fight business, not the internet business. Do it again tonight,” he said during the UFC On FOX 2 press conference. Given the UFC president’s reaction, the hackers They carried out another attack, but this time the target was not the UFC but Dana White himself and other members of Zuffa, the company that owns the UFC.

The threat came a few hours after the UFC On FOX 2 press conference. Using Twitter, a man who identified himself as Josh Matthews (@JoshTheGod) warned: “@danawhite We don't want your website anymore, we're going after YOU now! Follow me for tonight's exciting events! #ufc #sopa #acta #pipa”.

Personal data such as telephone numbers, social security records, identification of personal vehicles, home addresses, among others, were stolen and made available on the internet. Users JoshTheGod, MrOsama and AntiGov took over the attacks. Dana White changed her tone:

“I love the internet, it helped grow our business. People are stealing my data online and selling it or selling advertisements on top of it. My partners and I worked for ten years to build the sport. If you want to change the world, good for you! Just don’t steal my data.”
