Luke Rockhold injured and out of fight with Chris Weidman at UFC 230

The rematch between Luke Rockhold e Chris Weidman was scheduled for UFC 230, November 3rd in New York at Madison Square Garden. However, according to information from the North American website ESPN, the fighter suffered a leg injury and is off the card.

ESPN reporter Breet Okamoto posted Rockhold's withdrawal on Twitter: “According to sources, Luke Rockhold is out of his middleweight fight against Chris Weidman at UFC 230. This fight is currently the co-main event. The UFC is already working to resolve the issues on the card.

The former middleweight champions faced each other for the first time in 2015 in a title fight, Rockhold knocked out title holder Weidman in the fourth round of UFC 194. Luke held the belt for six months, but was defeated by Michael Bisping on June 2016.

At 33 years old, Rockhold is coming off a defeat to Yoel romero at UFC 221 in February this year for the interim middleweight title. The North American has a record of 20 fights with 16 triumphs and four setbacks.

Weidman has 17 fights in his career, including 14 triumphs and three setbacks. In his last confrontation 'All-American' submitted Kelvin Gastelum in July last year in UFC Long Island.
