McGregor targets UFC event at Dallas Cowboy stadium: 'I'm going to make it happen'

After watching a Dallas Cowboy game, McGregor was excited about the chance to fight in a football stadium

It's not just a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov which is part of future plans for Conor McGregor. After going to watch a Dallas Cowboys game in the NFL, last Sunday (14), the Irishman stated that his goal is to help organize an edition of Ultimate at the stadium based in Dallas (USA).

“This place is a spectacle. This octagon (of the UFC) has to be in the center (of the stadium) one day. I will make it happen, trust me. Especially now after being here and seeing it. I know there have been rumors many times. We never got there, but now is the time. Now is the time,” said McGregor, in a video released by the American football league.

Two years ago, in May 2016, the UFC held an event in a football stadium in Brazil for the first time. On that occasion, the show took place at Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba, and featured a star-studded card, including a heavyweight belt dispute, which ended with the knockout of Stipe Miocic em Fabricio Werdum. The Ultimate audience record in a stadium was in 2015, in Melbourne, when 56 thousand people witnessed the surprising knockout of Holly holm em Ronda Rousey, which was undefeated until then.
