The rivalry between TJ Dillashaw e cody garbrandt doesn't seem to have ended after the rematch between the fighters in the main fight of UFC 227. Before the confrontation on August 04th, 'Viper' promised that he would ruin his arch-rival's career. After his second knockout triumph over 'No Love', the bantamweight champion admitted that he is achieving what he committed to.

“It's just like I said… He would fall. I told him I was going to take him down in the first round. I said I would ruin your career, I'm doing it. The guy is screwed,” said Dillashaw in an interview with the North American website MMAjunkie.
Even after showing his superiority over Garbandt, Dillashaw stated that his feelings towards his rival did not change. Cody and TJ were teammates on Team Alpha Male, however 'Viper' left the group. Because of this, the rivalry between the athletes began.
“It’s not just him, it’s the whole team. The whole team needed a swear (expletive). They said all this rubbish, they want to accuse me of a lot of (expletive) things. That's the game. Karma is a (expletive),” TJ explained.
At 32, Dillashaw confessed that he hopes to never see Garbrandt inside the Octagon again during his career.
