Kleber Pride beats Argentine and wins Jungle Fight GP


Brazilian Kleber Orgulho is the winner of the light heavyweight GP of Jungle Fight. The event promoted by businessman Wallid Ismail landed, this Saturday (21), at the Acadêmicos da Rocinha court, in Rio de Janeiro, and consecrated the training partner of junior gypsy. Facing Argentine Emiliano Sordi, the athlete from Bahia took no notice of his opponent and went on the attack from the start, achieving a technical knockout in the first round.

“I want to follow in the footsteps of (Júnior 'Cigano') Dos Santos,” said the new champion, in reference to the UFC heavyweight champion. Now with the GP title, Kleber tries to follow in the footsteps of Erick silva, among the middleweights, and Iuri Marajó, in the featherweight division, who won the Jungle Fight and signed a contract with the UFC afterwards.

In the second main fight of the night, Brazilian Fabiano Soldado and Peruvian Diego Akita had an electrifying and closely contested duel. At the end of 15 minutes of fighting, the Brazilian athlete prevailed in the judges' decision.
