After finishing Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagumedov left the octagon to attack Dillon Danis, McGregor's corner. With that, the champion started the general fight at the T-Mobile Arena. In a post-UFC 229 press conference, 'Eagle' apologized for his behavior and stated that his father would not be satisfied with his conduct. On Monday (08), in an interview with the Russian channel Ren TV, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov criticized his son's stance and assured that the 'punishment' applied by him will be worse than the organization's penalty.

“You can do whatever you want in the octagon, but outside of it, there are children, women and random people. My team has always been known for its discipline. My sanctions on Khabib will be much heavier than those of the UFC. Outside the Octagon, actions need to be about peace,” said Abdulmanap, according to a transcript on the website of the North American newspaper The Sun.
Khabib's father also published an image of his son's attack on Dillon Danis, McGregor's cornerman, on social media. In the caption, Abdulmanap reproaches the lightweight champion's attitude: “I certainly didn't teach him that”.
