Anderson Silva sends message to McGregor: 'I'm ready for you'

Conor McGregor declared at the beginning of the week that he would like a confrontation with Anderson Silva. Through his Instagram, the Brazilian accepted the Irishman's challenge. In an interview with the North American channel ESPN, the former middleweight champion was excited about a possible superfight and assured that he is already preparing to meet 'Notorious' in the Octagon.

“I'm training a lot. Training and waiting for McGregor. I hope McGregor doesn't wreck the bus when he fights me. Don’t be crazy, be professional”, provoked the Brazilian.

A clash between the Brazilian and the Irishman would have to be at catchweight, as Anderson belongs to the middleweight category (84kg) and Conor is in the lightweight division (70kg). Even so, 'Spider' doesn't see a problem, and declared that he can lower the weight to 81,7kg.

Anderson admitted that the money that goes into a confrontation with McGregor catches his attention. “You know, this is very interesting. Everyone needs money, especially McGregor. When you're buying castles and private jets and you do something crazy that needs lawyers. I’ve been there,” Spider said.

Before thinking about his future, McGregor has to face Khabib Nurmagomedov this Saturday (06) in Las Vegas. When analyzing the confrontation, Anderson stated that it will be a boring fight, as it is predictable that the Russian will try to put the Irishman on the ground.

“For me personally, I think it's a boring fight because everyone knows that Khabib is going to try to put McGregor on the ground. I believe they both have a chance, but it will be very boring. Me and McGregor will be a super fight. Don't run, friend, don't run. I'm ready for you; I think McGregor needs to take this fight. Two of the best strikers in this sport: me and McGregor. This is incredible”, concluded Spider.
