Signed by Bellator in September, Erick silva had its debut scheduled. The Brazilian would face the North American Lorenz Larkin, on October 12th, in the 207th edition of the event, in Uncasville (USA). During preparation for the fight, the man from Espírito Santo ended up injuring his rib and is out of the fight.

Through their social networks, Erick silva told details about his injury. He stated that he had a crack in the cartilage of his left rib. Due to medical orders, the fighter was removed from the card.
“In all professions we are subject to accidents and in sport it is no different. Unfortunately, in training on Friday (21/09) I suffered an injury that took me out of the Bellator 207 card. I'm fine and recovering, but I want you to know for me. I suffered a crack in the cartilage of my left rib and, on doctor's orders and those of my team, I had to leave the card. Now I'm going to focus on my recovery and get back to work. The biggest desire to make this Bellator fight happen is mine and you can be sure that the wait will be worth it.
