Anderson Silva he served a one-year suspension imposed by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and can now return to the UFC in November this year. However, the date of his return was unknown. This week, 'Spider' was asked by an Instagram follower if he would fight in the organization again. In response, the Brazilian confessed that his return should take place in January 2019.
The follower asked: “Anderson Silva, are you still going to fight in the UFC or not? Many of his fans would like to see him in action again, as would I.” In response, Anderson stated: “Yes, my brother. January".

Spider had his last fight in February 2017, when he won Derek Brunson by unanimous decision. Anderson had a fight confirmed for November last year against Kelvin Gastelum in Shanghai. However, he was removed from the card due to a positive drug test result.
