the paulista Fabio Maldonado is out of UFC Rio 2, an event that takes place next Saturday (14) in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. Scheduled to do a 100% Brazilian fight against Gaius Monster, Maldonado suffered a rib injury during training and is out of action. The information was confirmed this Sunday on the organization's official website.
With just six days until the event, Gaius Monster, who would make his Ultimate debut on the show, is also out of action. As a result, the UFC 142 fight program, also called UFC Rio 2, now has only 10 fights.
