“You have to understand that I have much more to lose than to gain. Tyron woodley He wants to face me because he has much more to gain than to lose, because if he defeats me, in terms of legacy and popularity, he has much more to gain. It's not that I'm scared; In fact, I'm always afraid when I go to fight. I'm scared of everyone, but that's irrelevant because I'll do the walk if I need to. At this point where I am, solidifying my legacy, it is not a straight line. I have to check what I can win and lose”, said the fighter in an interview with the North American website FanSided.

After victory over Darren till At UFC 228, Woodley called himself the “best of all time” in the welterweight division. However, GSP denied that the champion could put himself at that level, even with a good performance against the Englishman.

PUBLICITY:

“The “best” is difficult to say, there is also another guy called Matt hugs who at one point was one of the best. There are some fighters – I'm not saying that Tyron woodley is one of them, he is an incredible fighter – but there are guys in this sport who sometimes become champions and have it easier than others in terms of opponents and challenges. Tyron had to go through great fighters like Stephen Thompson, and his last performance was spectacular against Darren till. There was a lot of expectation about Darren till because he was undefeated, and Tyron nullified him incredibly well. Tyron is on a good path in terms of his legacy and in terms of being the best,” concluded Georges.

Planning to consolidate his legacy, the Canadian challenged the winner of the confrontation between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor. Thus, St. Pierre could be the first fighter to win three belts in the organization.

Regardless of the former champion's plans, UFC president Dana White has already ruled out a fight for the lightweight belt. The director assured that he has other plans for GSP in the organization.
