Brazil has a new representative at the top in the fly division (up to 56,7 kg.). The Pará Deiveson Figueiredo, who entered the Octagon as 14th in the weight rankings, took no notice of John Moraga, 6th in the rankings, knocked out the North American in the second round and is already dreaming of a shot at the belt. The fight was an attraction on the main card of UFC Fight Night Lincoln, held this Saturday (25), in the USA.

“Tonight was very wonderful! I did a little of my show for you. Now I've reached the heads. Let’s put a better one for me, Mick (Maynard), it’s time”, said Deiveson, directing the message to the matchmaker, responsible for scheduling UFC fights.
Despite Deiveson's victory, UFC Lincoln will not bring good memories to Brazilian athletes. On the preliminary card, until the Brasiliense Rani Yaya came out with the victory over Luke sanders. But Warlley alves lost to James Krause; Kalindra Faria was submitted by Joanne calderwood, Markus Maluko was surpassed by Andrew Sanchez in the decision, while Iuri Marajó ended up knocked out by Cory Sandhagen.
The fight
Right at the start of the fight, Deiveson showed right from the start that his training at Team Alpha Male, in California, had yielded results. The Brazilian avoided Moraga's kicks and took down a takedown specialist in style. On top, the man from Pará had difficulty striking, but he opened up the front against the judges' cards. The North American tried to surprise by attacking the footlock, but the Brazilian responded in kind and forced his rival to release the position. Deiveson once again dominated on top and ended the partial by throwing several punches at John on the ground.
In the second round, Moraga tried to open the exchange of blows, but Deiveson took the fight to the clinch and once again took down a national wrestling champion. He landed a few punches on the North American who felt the attacks. Still, he managed to get up. However, when the stand-up fight resumed, the 'God of War', as he is known, left to end the dispute. He landed a hard elbow that made Moraga bend his knee. Taking advantage of the good moment, Deiveson dropped a bomb on the belt and took the North American to the ground. Afterwards, with a few more punches from above, the referee interrupted the dispute and declared a technical knockout.
