From new home, Godofredo Pepey makes Brave's main fight in Colombia

The Brazilian will face Alexander Torres on September 7th at the organization's last event in 2018 in South America

Godofredo'Pepey' Castro signed a contract with the Arab event Brave Combat Federation and has a new home. The Brazilian featherweight will make his debut in the organization in the main fight against Colombian, Alexander 'Rolo' Torres on September 7th in Bucaramanga, Colombia. At 31, Geoffrey Pepey began his career in MMA in 2003, but became known to the general public after his participation in TUF Brasil in 2012. He was surpassed by Ron Jason in the final of the featherweight tournament, but his good campaign on the program led to him getting a contract with Ultimate. In his last four fights, three ended in defeat and because of this, the UFC did not renew his contract.

His opponent, Colombian Alex Torres, also played Ultimate on TUF América Latina. He had two fights in the organization and in both appearances he was defeated by Rodolfo Rubio (during TUF) and Masio Fulen at UFC 184. His record has nine clashes with five wins and four setbacks.

By the end of 2018, Brave announced that it will hold more than eight events, the show in Colombia will be Brave 15. The tournament on September 07th will be the company's last visit to South America this year.
