Without entering the Ultimate Octagon for a year, Beth Pitbull Correa was scheduled to return to UFC 227 in Los Angeles this Saturday (04). The Brazilian would face the Mexican Irene aldana, but was barred from fighting by the California State Athletic Commission.

The regulatory body did not authorize the Brazilian fighter to continue in the event due to surgery on her left eye carried out last October. Before the procedure, Bethe already had a confirmed fight against Aldana, but left the fight urgently to undergo treatment.
