The current WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar returned to the Ultimate Octagon on Saturday (07) at UFC 226 after being challenged by the champion, Daniel Cormier. The clash between the fighters was confirmed by UFC president, Dana White. In an interview with the “MMAFighting” website, USADA declared that 'The Beast Incarnate' will be able to return to the organization from January 2019.

“After receiving notification of his intention to compete in the UFC, USADA once again entered into Brock Lesnar on July 3rd. With six months and four days remaining in the ineligibility period, Lesnar will be able to compete in January. January 8, 2019, if he remains in compliance with the UFC anti-doping policy,” USADA said.
Lesnar's last appearance in the Ultimate Octagon was in July 2016 at UFC 200 when he defeated Mark Hunt by unanimous decision. After triumph, Brock was tested positive for banned substances. The fighter received a one-year suspension and ended up announcing his second retirement from MMA and returning to WWE.
Due to retirement, Lesnar froze his suspension. With confirmation of his return, Brock must serve the remaining period of the penalty.
Daniel Cormier will have to wait seven months to be able to face the WWE star, as a result of which he has also shown interest in a fight with the Brazilian former UFC champion, Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua. The clash would take place for the light heavyweight title.
