The fight for the lightweight belt between Max Holloway e Brian ortega would take place at UFC 226 this Saturday (07), but was canceled after the champion felt symptoms similar to a concussion. The withdrawal of the duel at the event in Las Vegas was announced on Wednesday (04). This Thursday (05), journalist Lance Pugmire, from the LA Times tabloid, stated that the fight will be rescheduled for UFC 227, on August 4, in Los Angeles.
“I told an employee close to the situation that Max Holloway e Brian ortega could be moved to the main event at Staples Center for UFC 227 on August 4th, depending on Holloway's health,” Pugmire said in a tweet.

It remains to be seen if the lightweight champion is ready to fight in a month. Since concussions take some time to heal.
