Former NFL star, Greg hardy appeared on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series after defeating austen lane in early June. After the triumph, the fighter won a “development contract” with the UFC. As a result, criticism began to emerge against the president of Ultimate for having hired a man who has a history of domestic violence.
After the disapproval for contacting Hardy, Dana White stated that he is not yet in the UFC, as he needs to win at least one more fight in the Ultimate reality show. Only then will he get an official contract with the organization.

“I have a show called Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. He fought on that show, which we do every Tuesday night. He fought, won and now he's coming back for another round of fights. He's not in the UFC. Right now, it's in a development program, being developed. Other guys are in this program too. He may or may not enter the UFC,” White confirmed.
The Ultimate president assured that he understands the comments made about the fighter. “No matter what this guy does for the rest of his life – he can save kids every weekend for the next 20 years – that’s what’s going to happen. This is what people are going to talk about, and believe me, I get it, and he gets it,” Dana said.
Dana White believes in Hardy's change, as he has already paid for what he did and is trying to get back on his feet. “The guy paid his penalties. He hit rock bottom, gave up drugs, gave up alcohol, built a different profession and is trying to get another chance at life. It's not like these things happen regularly, it happened once. He hit rock bottom, he’s trying to come back,” he concluded.
