“Thank you to EVERYONE who accompanied me on this journey! I made many friends and built my life through martial arts. She made me the man I am and gave me everything I have. I even built my family through her, after all it was through the UFC that I met my wife and consequently had my greatest treasure. In my career I had two serious injuries, one was facial paralysis and the other was a motorcycle accident with broken ligaments and bones. I was both warned that I would no longer be able to fight again. GOD honored me and I came back! In this fight I had an injury to my collateral and femur, with 2 week left before coming to Singapore, once again my doctors warned me about the possibility of not being able to fight. But I didn't want to give up and I went to fight! I believe that my career was consolidated and fulfilled because of my coach. He always lifted me up, always showed me the right path and always gave me confidence to get where I am. I guarantee you, without him, I would NEVER be here”, he declared.

No sad story and no mimimi. I came to do my job and I did it. The result didn't come as expected, but I feel like a winner for being here and for having gone through everything I went through, things that the outside public doesn't see, but those on my side know! Victory goes far beyond raising your arm, Victory is built through the path you took to get there. You win, transform and become stronger along the way, not with the result. Thank you to EVERYONE who accompanied me on this journey! I made many friends and built my life through martial arts. She made me the man I am and gave me everything I have. I even built my family through it, after all it was through UFC that I met my wife and consequently I had my greatest treasure. Do you understand that the life of an athlete is not easy? I'm not here making excuses, I'm here showing that I never gave up, regardless of what they told me. Isn't that what being a winner is? Yes, I feel like a champion! I believe that my career was consolidated and fulfilled because of my coach. He always lifted me up, always showed me the right path and always gave me confidence to get where I am. I guarantee you, without him, I would NEVER be here. In truth? I consider myself 1% accomplished and I wouldn’t do anything differently. Today my desire to fight is no longer the same, so I decided to stop. I've always made it clear that I don't depend on the struggle financially, because through it, I've built things that allow me to have a good life. I'm grateful to be able to hang up my gloves at 100 years old and know that one way or another, my name will go down in UFC history. (Continued comments)
