Outside the UFC, Erick Silva signs a contract with LFA and debuts in July

The Brazilian fighter fought for the UFC for six years and did not renew his contract after losing to Jordan Mein in December 2017

After a year out of the octagon, the Brazilian welterweight, Erick silva did not renew his contract with the UFC. This week, the Espírito Santo signed a contract with the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) event. His debut will be against Nick Barnes in the main fight of LFA 45 on July 20th.

Erick silva He has a record of 29 fights in his career, 19 wins, nine losses and one fight without result. There were 15 fights in six years in the UFC, but the fighter was unable to become regular in the organization. He never managed more than two consecutive victories.

His last fight for Ultimate was the unanimous decision defeat to Jordan Mein in December 2017. The athlete was already coming off a knockout setback against Yancy Medeiros in June of the same year.

The Brazilian's opponent, Nick Barnes, is a former Bellator fighter and has 12 wins and three losses in his professional MMA career. In his last fight, he was knocked out by Curtis Millender at LFA 30, in January this year.
