After losing the Fight Nights Global light heavyweight belt to Nikita Krylov on the 19th of May, Fabio Maldonado is free to negotiate with other organizations. The Brazilian fighter stated that Bellator has already sent proposals. Among the offers is a revenge against Fedor Emelianenko.
“I have a free contract, Bellator had already made an offer. They have already sent two proposals, they even offered me a rematch with Fedor, but it was before the Heavyweight GP tournament. Fedor beat Mir, for me it would be good. The ideal would be if Fedor wins the GP, because I had a good fight with him, nothing too far away. That would definitely add value to me too”, idealizes the Brazilian.

The Brazilian faced the “Last Emperor” in the main event of Eurasia Fight Nights 50 in 2016. Maldonado almost knocked out Fedor, but the judges scored the Russian a unanimous decision victory.
In addition to his future in MMA, Maldonado was challenged by boxer Sergei Kharitonov to a super boxing fight. Even with the agreement, the confrontation may not happen.
“There are several fights coming up for me, but as I lost, I don't know how it will turn out. The guys asked him (Kharitonov) if he wanted to fight me, he said 'yes'. They did the same to me, I also said 'yes'. If the fight happens, it should be at the end of July”, said Fabio.
Fabio Maldonado The 38-year-old has an MMA record of 36 fights, 24 wins and 12 losses. In boxing, there were 25 fights and all ended in victory. The Brazilian remained in the UFC for six years.
