With the triumph, Aaron recorded his fourth consecutive victory in eight months. The other three achievements were at BAMMA, an MMA event in the United Kingdom.

Even with the victory, there was criticism about the transfer of the program from MTV to Bellator. “If you don’t like it, then (explain) yourself. It’s that simple,” Chalmers said while still in the cage to Bellator commentator John McCarthy.

Backstage at the event, Aaron also stated that he comes from the “Geordie Shore” program, but trains a lot. “All I can say is that I train hard. I train as much as anyone. Just because I come from 'Geordie Shore' doesn't mean I don't train, and I'm not a good fighter. I train as hard as any of the guys at my gym, from UFC all the way down,” he responded.

Chalmers believes that even with a good debut, some opportunities still need to be conquered. He doesn't see himself in a Bellator event main event right now. “I definitely don’t see myself in a main event. It's just my first fight. I only have four fights in my entire career. I trained for a year,” he concluded.
