Felipe Sertanejo is the ninth Brazilian confirmed for UFC Rio 2

UFC organizers have their hands full this week. Aiming to fill the card do UFC 142, the first event to be held in 2012 and scheduled for January 14th, in the capital of Rio, another fight was announced this Wednesday. The featherweight Felipe "Countryside" arantes will welcome the Canadian Antonio "Duck" Oak.

This will be Sertanejo's second appearance in the UFC. And again he will fight at home. Defeated by Yuri Marajó at UFC Rio, ending a series of 10 victories, the São Paulo native will have the chance to recover against a foreigner. He is 23 years old and has 13 wins and 4 losses in his professional career.

At 32 years old, with a record identical to that of his opponent, Pato has a black belt in jiu-jitsu and shotokan karate. With stints at Shooto and MFC, his most significant victory came over Japanese star Hatsu Hioki, who is now also part of the UFC squad. Carvalho was scheduled to debut in the UFC in the Rio edition of August, but an injury forced him to leave the event. The curiosity is that he was replaced at the time exactly by Sertanejo.
