The UFC is once again in negotiations with Nate diaz for the fighter to return to the octagon later this year. According to the MMA Fighting website, the event presented Diaz with several top-5 lightweight opponents and the black belt expressed interest in returning to UFC 227 on August 4 in Los Angeles.

Diaz is interested in at least one of the opponents presented, but Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor were not discussed as potential opponents. The options are: Eddie Alvarez, Dustin poirier e Kevin Lee. Tony Ferguson he wouldn't be ready to fight in August due to being rehabilitating from knee surgery.
No deal has been signed yet, but the issue would only be an interesting opponent for Diaz.
Nate diaz hasn't fought since August 2016, when he lost by majority decision to Conor McGregor. There was brief talk about him fighting the UFC welterweight champion, Tyron woodley, in December, but these rumors never came to fruition.
