Escalated face Volkan oezdemir at UFC Chile, on May 19th, the Brazilian Mauricio Shogun saw the duel against the Swiss postponed until July, at the Hamburg event (ALE). The reason for the change was his rival's problems with North American justice. With the change of date, the man from Paraná felt unable to fight in the South American country, but celebrated his return to Europe after almost 10 years.

“I want to apologize to the fans in Chile who were looking forward to watching this fight in May, and to all the people who planned to watch me there. I was very happy to be part of the first UFC in the country. This change was not in my control, and unfortunately it was necessary due to my opponent's personal circumstances. I'm sure the event on the 19th will be really cool, and I hope one day I'll have the chance to fight in Chile. Now the focus is on July 22nd! I'm very motivated to do my best in Germany, happy to do the main fight and to return to fight in Europe after nine years”, Shogun posted on his Instagram account.
