The victory in the 'fight of the year' of Dustin poirier about Justin gaethje, at UFC Glendale, brought a lot to the North American. At the event, held last Saturday (14), the third placed in the lightweight ranking earned the highest salary on the show. For his triumph, 'The Diamond' took more than half a million reais.

The Arizona Athletic Commission, the entity that sanctioned the event, disclosed the scholarships paid to the athletes and Poirier pocketed US$170, around R$580 at current prices. Even though he was defeated by Dustin, Gaethje couldn't complain, as he won the second highest salary with US$110.
Among the five Brazilians on the show, the one who got the biggest check was Alex Cowboy. To finish Carlos Condit, the athlete from Três Rios earned US$100, approximately R$341.
It is worth noting that the salaries published by the Arizona Athletic Commission do not include: performance bonuses, uniform sponsorship, participation in pay-per-view sales and other non-contract bonuses.
