Retired, Mayweather guarantees: 'I'll only come back if it's in the Octagon'

The greatest champion in boxing history does not hide his desire to sign with the UFC and have his first MMA fight

Floyd Mayweather should really venture into new areas. The biggest winner in the history of Boxing, who retired from the noble art in 2017, guaranteed that he will only compete again if he signs a contract to fight MMA. During an event with his company, Money, as he is known, commented on his retired days and his desire to debut in a new sport.

“Retirement has been great, but as you know and everyone knows, I retire and then I come back. It's possible that I'll return, but if I do, it has to be in the octagon. I talked to my team. I spoke with Al Heymon (his personal advisor). Al Heymon said no. I spoke to CBS (a TV channel in the USA that owns Showtime, the broadcaster that broadcasts its fights). If I return, Showtime and CBS have to be involved,” Mayweather said.
