UFC 223: Renato Moicano beats Kattar and recovers in the octagon

The Brazilian Renato Moicano proved that he deserves to be in the top-10 of UFC featherweights. Performing on the main card of UFC 223, held this Saturday (07), in New York (USA), the Brasilia native defeated Calvin kattar in the unanimous decision of the judges (30-27, 29-28, 30-27) and recovered from the setback suffered in his last fight. With the triumph, he has 12 wins, one loss and one draw as a professional.

The fight

Moicano started the fight at a slower pace and Kattar took advantage of the Brazilian's hesitation to score points. With strong punches, the American made Renato retreat in two moments of the partial. Just halfway through the round, the Brasiliense entered the game. He started working with low kicks and Calvin showed no defense

The recipe from the end of the previous part was used again in the second round. Moicano abused leg kicks to stop Kattar and score points. Furthermore, the Brazilian feinted his low kick to land good hand strikes on his rival's head. He combined jabs, crosses and uppers, which forced his rival to move backwards.

With the fight in his hands, Moicano completely dominated the third round. He returned to abusing Kattar's leg kicks and working with good boxing combinations. The North American, in turn, was not even able to pose any danger to the Brasiliense. In the end, victory Renato Moicano in the unanimous decision of the judges.
