Rumors about Mayweather's move to the UFC are growing every day and, it seems, the super boxing champion could actually make his MMA debut. Even the boxer's father, Floyd Mayweather Senior, commented on the possibility of his son's new adventure. According to him, although his son has already achieved his fortune, he wants to seek a legacy in sport.

“From what I'm seeing, I have to believe that this will happen (going to the UFC). Is what it seems. I don't know what his legacy will be, he has enough money. I don't even know how to say it, because there's no way to say it”, pondered Mayweather's father, on the program 'Mayweather Boxing Channel'.

Despite considering that his son could be successful in the UFC and win some fights, Mayweather Sr reiterated that he is against his son going to MMA.

“I don’t advise you to go to MMA. As your coach, I don't advise you and as your father I don't advise you either. I want him to have all the money he has, it’s enough”, he added.

“I'm going to tell the truth about this. I think he can win some fights, but I think it's better to let that go. You can do your thing, but you're in someone else's playground and there's a lot of stuff there. There's no way to do that. Don’t get me wrong, I think he can beat some fighters in the same way he already did, but it’s not worth it”, he concluded.

Mayweather built the most winning career in boxing history. The 40-year-old fighter was a 12-time world boxing champion in five different categories. Floyd ended his career with an incredible 50 wins in 50 fights. In his last appearance, he defeated Conor McGregor in the Boxing x MMA superfight, in August last year. Now, the Irishman hopes to have a rematch with 'Money' in his sport.
