Athletic Commission schedules Jon Jones hearing for the 27th

the future of Jon Jones will be defined in the next few days. The California Athletic Commission has scheduled the light heavyweight trial for the 28th. In July last year, the North American was caught undergoing a doping test for using the anabolic steroid Turinabol.

As a repeat offender, Jones could be suspended for up to four years. But, despite the risk of a big hook, the fighter's team is counting on an acquittal. According to the American's agent, Malki Kawa, he hopes that 'Bones' will fight again in 2018.

Jones was spotted before his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214, . The examination showed the presence of the anabolic steroid Turinabol. However, as the result was only announced after the event, 'Bones' defeated his rival, but had the victory reversed to a No Contest (fight without result).

Before that, in 2016, he was removed from UFC 200 and ended up suspended for a year after testing positive for clomiphene, an estrogen blocker, in a test carried out outside the competition period.
