After winning his fourth consecutive fight at UFC Belém, Thiago Marreta asked for a 'top-5' opponent in the middleweight division. The Brazilian was not attended to, but he will face a well-ranked rival in his next fight: he faces the American David Branch, eighth in the rankings, at UFC Fight Night Atlantic City, an event that takes place on April 21st, in the USA .

A participant in TUF Brasil 2, Marreta has already had 13 fights in the UFC, with nine wins and four losses. A born knockout artist, eight of his nine victories in the company came via the fast track. At 33 years old, he has a record with 17 positive results and five negative results.
In turn, Branch, who is a former champion of the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) event, is in his second stint in Ultimate. In his last fight, in his Octagon debut, he was defeated by Luke Rockhold, in September last year. He has a professional record of 21 wins and four losses.
