It looked like a scene from a comedy show, but it happened at the 48th edition of CES, held in Lincoln, in the US state of Rhode Island. Timothy Woods gave himself a sort of knockout and had to leave the fighting area on a stretcher.
In the fight against Tim Caron, Woods grabbed his rival close to the fence and delivered a beautiful takedown. However, he ended up falling wrongly, without support, and hitting his head on the cage. The fighter already fell unconscious and received a few more punches from Caron on the ground until the referee declared the technical knockout.
The result marked Woods' sixth defeat in 13 fights (he has seven wins). Caron continues with a better record: 7 triumphs and just one setback
