After competing in three Bellator tournaments without reaching any final, the Brazilian Wilson reis was released from the organization this Tuesday.
Wilson, who has a professional record of 12 wins and four losses, arrived at Bellator in 2009 as champion of the now-defunct EliteXC and reached the semifinals of that year's GP, when he beat Joe Soto in a unanimous decision by the judges. In 2010, the Brazilian fell to his compatriot Patrick Pitbull also in the decision. In 2011, in the rematch against Pitbull, Reis was defeated again, this time by knockout.
In addition to the Brazilian, North American Dan Hornbuckle did not have his contract renewed with Bellator.
