The farewell fight Vitor belfort had an unexpected ending before it even began. Uriah Hall, the Brazilian's opponent, did not show up for the official weigh-in at UFC Fight Night St Louis and the organization canceled the duel.

The Brazilian was the last to step on the scale to validate the duel. Belfort appeared in the hall speaking 15 minutes before the weigh-in window closed and weighed in at 84,4 kg – the limit for the middleweight division. From this moment on, all that was left was for the Jamaican living in the United States to check his weight. But he didn't even show up in the room and the UFC canceled the fight.

The UFC has not yet announced whether it will reschedule the fight against Hall, whether it will offer another opponent for Belfort's farewell or whether he will retire without completing the last fight of his contract.
