UFC 135: Jones finishes Rampage and defends belt

The only Brazilian at UFC 135, Junior Assunção returned to the largest MMA organization in the world on the right foot. Facing Eddie Yagin, the Brazilian athlete used his greater wingspan to control the distance and take down his opponent at the right time. Totally at ease in the octagon, the fighter from Pernambuco joked with the audience during the fight, making gestures towards the stands. With an advantage after the first two rounds, Junior was sovereign in the third round, where after taking down the Hawaiian he worked with ground and pound until the bell sounded. After adding up the scores of the side judges, the Brazilian won in the unanimous decision of the judges (30×27, 30×26, 30×26)
