Shortly after vacating his middleweight belt, Georges St Pierre began a series of speculations about his future. Former welterweight champion, the Canadian hinted that, if he returns to the UFC, he will fight in his old category and in a “big duel”. His coaches have been giving tips on which GSP would like to face Conor McGregor. But UFC president Dana White assured that this will not happen.

In an interview with the website of the North American broadcaster ESPN, the director assured that, if St. Pierre returns, he will fight for one of the two titles of the categories in which he has already fought – be it for the linear belt of Robert whittaker at middleweight or the welterweight crown, which currently belongs to Tyron woodley.
“He will not fight with Conor McGregor. Will not. If Georges St Pierre wants to return, he will have to deal with Robert whittaker ou Tyron woodley. Both champions. They are both waiting for him if GSP wants to return”, commented White, who said he had doubts about the former champion's possible return.
“We knew what was happening. That's why I put a title defense clause in his contract. I do not know, dude. Honestly, I think he came back, made even more money and flew back to Canada”, he analyzed.
