Woodley criticizes Dos Anjos' performance: 'I saw a lot of flaws'

Welterweight champion guarantees he will knock out Brazilian if he is confirmed as next challenger

the american Tyron woodley, current Ultimate welterweight champion, was in Canada working as a commentator at UFC Winnipeg last Saturday (16) and assured that he was not impressed with the performance of Rafael Dos Anjos in the main fight. The Brazilian dominated the former belt owner Robbie Lawler, winning all five rounds and securing his third triumph in the category. After the duel, RDA asked for a fight with Woodley, who assured that he could knock him out.

The champion said he saw many holes in the Brazilian's game and also in his victim's, but did not believe that Dos Anjos would be his next challenger.

“We’ll see what the UFC decides. I analyzed the fight between Lawler and Dos Anjos and either of those two would be knocked out if they faced me. It was clear to me that their fighting intelligence is not as high as one would expect from someone fighting for the right to seek the belt. They both talked about increasing the pace, they said they would do several things. I saw a lot of flaws in their game that I could exploit”, commented Woodley, during his work as an analyst for the North American channel FOX.

The American is expected to undergo shoulder surgery and will only return mid-next year. If Georges St Pierre If his health problem does not improve, the expectation is that Dos Anjos will be the next challenger for Woodley's welterweight belt.
