UFC welterweight champion, Tyron woodley, declared that Georges St Pierre She doesn't want to face him and that's why she says she's sick. The Canadian declared he has colitis (infection in the large intestine) and, therefore, chose to give up his middleweight title, which was given to the former interim champion Robert whittaker. For Woodley, however, this was nothing more than a move by GSP to avoid facing him.

On his weekly show on TMZ, the North American champion stated that he offered to move up in weight in search of a fight with the Canadian, but he didn't want to face him.

PUBLICITY:

“I want to fight Georges, man. I offered to move up in weight, go to the middleweight division to face him, but now he faked some kind of injury and left his belt vacant. So, I don’t know what he wants, man…” Woodley lamented.

Since the duel with the former Canadian champion will not happen anytime soon, the current owner of the welterweight belt declared that he will undergo shoulder surgery, which he was willing to postpone to face St. Pierre.

PUBLICITY:

“So, I’m going to get my shoulder repaired. I said I didn't want to have surgery, I didn't want to repair my shoulder. But if there isn't a fight that really makes sense for me at this time, so that I can take a risk and fight without being 100%, then I'll stop and heal this injury. I will do everything to be 100% again”, he announced.
