Overwhelming! This is how the performance of Marlon moraes at UFC Fresno, an event held in the early hours of this Sunday (10), in California (USA). The Brazilian was not aware of aljamain sterling and knocked out the North American with a beautiful knee strike in just over a minute (watch the blow in the player below). The result marked the Friburguense's second victory in the franchise in less than 30 days – he had previously defeated John Dodson No. UFC Norfolk, November 11th.

The show's fight program brought four more Brazilians: still on the main card, Markus Maluko debuted in Ultimate with his left foot and was defeated by Erik Anders. In the preliminary program, Davi ramos finished Chris Gruetzemacher, while Iuri Marajó and Antonio Braga Neto were defeated before Alejandro Perez e Trevin gilesrespectively.

Marlon started the fight with everything. In Sterling's first attack, the Brazilian responded with a quick counterattack and the American went to the ground within a few seconds of action. The 'Magician', as he is known, tried to end the contest on the ground, but the American grabbed his arm and he returned to the contest on his feet. Knowing Marlon's superiority in the stand-up fight, Sterling tried to take him down, but Marlon threw his knee and the American was already knocked out. The Brazilian didn't even look for more blows. It only signaled that the fight was coming to an end, while Sterling had to leave the fight area on a stretcher.

Markus Maluko loses unbeaten record in UFC debut

Markus Perez, 'Maluko', lived up to his nickname at UFC Fresno. In his debut in the octagon, the Brazilian fought in a crazy way in the first round. He threw plastic blows, fought with his guard down and put on a show for the audience, but his unconventional performance took its toll. In the second half of the fight, Markus felt the rhythm of the fight, the blows connected by the North American Erik Anders and was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges (29-28, 30-25, 30-26). The result marked the first defeat of Maluko's career, while Anders recorded his 10th triumph as a professional.

In the first round, Markus showed that he wanted to make his debut in the franchise. The Brazilian fired a beautiful high kick, escaped his rival's attacks and managed a beautiful takedown, when he lifted his rival over his head and threw him to the ground. Maluko tried to finish the fight with a triangle with his hands, but the blow wasn't connected and Anders escaped easily. When the fight resumed on the feet, the North American even tried to combine some blows. But Markus dodged and laughed at his rival's attack. Afterwards, he threw a beautiful spinning elbow, but the blow went empty.

Anders returned for the second round ready to change the story of the fight. The North American put pressure on Maluko from the start and connected two straight left punches on the Brazilian. In another action, Markus did a somersault forward, but the blow did not pose any danger to his rival. Despite this, the crowd went wild and he asked for more shouts. However, from then on, only the North American attacked. The Brazilian once again received hard blows with Anders' strong pace. At the end of the partial, the North American ended the round on top, hitting Maluko in the face.

The third round continued as the second ended. Anders returned to pressure the Brazilian and quickly took the fight to the ground. Markus still managed to get up after receiving hard blows, but he was already quite tired. The American ended up taking Maluko down after landing a hard knee. The North American connected several blows from above until the bell sounded and secured the triumph in a calm decision by the judges
