Holm criticizes Cyborg's 'mumble' about doping tests

Even before Ultimate made the fight between the featherweight champion official Chris Cyborg e Holly holm for UFC 219 on December 30th, the Brazilian had been complaining that USADA had been testing her more than her next opponent. Now that the fight has been confirmed, the American responded to Cyborg's “mumblings” and said that she has been tested more than the belt owner.

Holm, who is coming off a knockout victory over Bethe Correia, had already used her social networks to needle her opponent, and explained that she is constantly being tested and that Cyborg doesn't know why she doesn't “applaud herself when she is tested”.

“Just because I don't post a photo of me being tested on my social media every time USADA knocks on my door doesn't mean I'm not being tested. It's not something important to me. They come, test me and go. I don't disclose every time they come, it's not something important to me (…) She acts as if I hadn't been tested for doping. I was the most tested athlete last year and, even this year, I was tested more than Cyborg. So I told her to stop grumbling about it”, commented Holm, on The MMA Hour program, guaranteeing that she has nothing against the Brazilian.

“I never had any problems with Cyborg, really. Whenever I saw her, she was always a nice person to me. She's been attacking me more, definitely. But that happens when the fights are coming. I don't pay much attention to it, I just keep training. It doesn't matter the provocations or whether you are nice to your opponent during the fight. The fact is that she will try to hit me with all her strength and will try to knock me out. And I will do the same. I want to beat her, I want to knock her out. This is the game,” she pointed out.
