Anderson Siva experienced great emotions at UFC Rio, an event held last Saturday, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. Even before knocking out the Japanese Yushin Okami and successfully defend his reign in the middleweight division, the “Spider”, as he is known, had his heart racing for his friend Rodrigo Minotauro, who minutes before knocked out the North American Brendan Schaub.
Minotauro went through the most delicate moment of his career last year, when he was away from competition for 18 months due to a series of knee and hip injuries and was considered for early retirement. As Anderson never hid his deep gratitude to Rodrigo, who according to the champion himself, was responsible for him continuing his career in MMA, Spider could not contain his emotion.
