Forrest Griffin is out of the UFC until January 2012

After the knockout suffered at UFC Rio, the American received a six-month medical suspension

After UFC Rio, an event that took place last Saturday (27) in Rio de Janeiro, the athletes who participated in the show underwent tests to evaluate possible injuries. As there are no Athletic Commissions in Brazil, those who sanctioned the event were the organization's own doctors.

In addition to the North American, three other fighters could be sidelined until January 2012: Stanislav Nedkov, Raphael Assunção and Ian Loveland, who also need to present exams for the entity.
