“Firstly, I would like to thank Irene aldana for agreeing to fight me in January. I was super excited about going to war with a Mexican woman. Unfortunately I had an accident, having to undergo emergency surgery and my return to the most famous octagon in the world will be postponed for a few more months. I was extremely excited to show the world my evolution and what I learned during my exchanges in Thailand and Texas, anyway... I'll meet you in the first half of 2018. Injuries are part of a fighter's life, and serve to prepare us for tough battles and overcoming it makes us psychologically stronger. I want to thank Dr. Remo Turchetti for the successful treatment, leaving me ready for the next battles in the UFC”, wrote Bethe.
